The film was originally released in 1985 and was directed by Mike de Leon. This was remade in 2007 by ABS-CBN as a Primetime teleserye entitled “Walang Kapalit”, starring Piolo Pascual and Claudine Barretto, together with Jodi Sta. Maria, Bobby Andrews, Edu Manzano and Dina Bonnevie. (The latter 2 were part of the original film.)

Synopsis.

Adapted from a popular komiks serial, Hindi Nahahati Ang Langit tells the story of stepsiblings Noel and Melody and their complex relationship. Noel is the wealthy son intolerant of his father¿s new partner Agnes and her daughter. From the start the two children are antagonistic against each other, their squabbles continuing through to adulthood and the sad demise of their parents. Appointing himself her legal guardian, Noel exercises his authority over Melody, driving her to rebel and into the arms of aristocratic Roland. Equally irked by Noel¿s romance with the naïve Cynthia ¿ the sister of a college friend- Melody leaves and soon sets up her own company to rival Noel¿s firm. As fate would have it, the two rivals are hired to work together on a big contract that forces the two to actually confront the source of their resentments and admit a genuine affection and respect for one another. Full of pride and unwilling to back down, Roland has other plans of his own that could spell the ruin of them all.
