Synopsis: The folks of a small island in the Philippines set aside a portion of their salary earned through wine-making for a treat or blow-out. As part of their thanksgiving the community indulges in merrymaking and drinking sessions.
Aside from fishing and coconut farming, a family in the island ekes out their living through wine making and charcoal making.
A daily fare of a treat has become a danger to the family’s existence and fight for survival.
The matriarch/widow moonlights as a resort masseuse. Her second son is into grouper fish raising, while a daughter and her husband are into wine making. Every one in the family has a task to attend to.
The head of the family, who was into fishing and wine making, died in an accident caused by dynamite fishing. His body torn into pieces that none of it was found.
A third son, went back to fishing after a series if failures finding work in the big city. He now owns fish cages of groupers.
The youngest daughter, while she is not busy with charcoal, trends to her small coconut farm. Her husband is known in the community as the best wine maker. But all of them have their backbones on wine making.
The story begins during the harvest season where everything is in abundance. After the family is able to sell all the harvest, merry making and drinking session begin. Friends and family gather to drink until the wee hours of the morning where each drop of wine is filled with angst. It is a non- stop session that continues for seven days until everyone is Intoxicated and their senses maimed.
And it is here where trouble starts.
