Basic Screenwriting
Brief Description
Screenwriting is the imagined film in paper and words. It develops writers to think visually in telling their stories. The screenplay produced by the screenwriter becomes the basis of the director for every decision in making the film.
This course is designed to introduce and cultivate the skill of screenwriting. As screenwriters are tasked to envision the film in writing, the workshop is intended to teach visual storytelling, screenwriting principles, tips in conceptualization, and screenplay design and elements.

About the Facilitator
Choy Pangilinan is a lecturer in the UP Film Institute. He has directed several films including the recent documentary “Bingat” which he co-directed with Brian Quesada, Joolia Demigillo, and Abet Umil.
