The UP Film Institute (UPFI) is currently seeking applicants for the:
College Librarian IV (SG-22) position

Minimum Qualifications:

Terms of Reference:

  • Handle the acquisition, collection, and maintenance of audio-visual and film materials such as film negatives, newsreels, 16mm films, scripts, magnetic clips, film stills, film ephemerals;
  • Supervise the exchange or circulation as well as the classification, cataloguing, indexing of audio-visual and film materials;
  • Undertake specific programs to retrieve cinematic works by Filipino directors;
  • Supervise the preservation/archiving and storage of audio-visual and film materials housed in the UPFI vault;
  • Attend to the needs of film researchers;
  • Establish, develop, and sustain network and linkages with local and foreign audio-visual and film institutions such as foundations, film companies, and private collections pertaining to film matters;
  • Preserve and maintain personal memorabilia of filmmakers and scholars donated specifically to UPFI;
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Unit Head and Faculty Coordinators
