Brief Description:
The Non-linear Editing Workshop teaches the fundamental to semi-advanced skills in non-linear editing using a digital editing software in a Mac computer lab.

Participants learn by a series of lectures and hands-on application of the essentials of digital non-linear editing. They are able to execute their acquired knowledge and skills through editing a short scene from a narrative film, a music video, and an entire short film.

Course Outline:
• Introduction to video post-production
• Editing concepts and techniques
• Editing as an integral part of filmmaking
• Capabilities of post-production

Inclusion:
– use of iMac
– UPFI workshop certificate
– snacks and refreshments

About the Facilitator:
Apol Dating is a graduate of the U.P. Film Institute and has been in the industry since then. She has edited several of the Tales from the Friend Zone web series, TV 5’s Kontrabando, and a good number of music videos for local bands.
